so much forgetting away for the warm weather but that would feel warm to most of us in d.c. you can see the snow on interstate 79 in western pennsylvania. this is what we will be watching. this will organize into a weak fast moving disturbance that will approach our area during the day on thursday. mountain snows continue. maybe a foot. thursday our rpm model brings in light snow. we get a dry slot here which might cut down on totals. with that dry slot, we are thinking maybe a small accumulation. maybe a trace to an inch in the district. north of say, montgomery county and interstate 70, possibly 2 to 4 inches and more in the mountains. that is something that we will keep an eye on. sometimes the small amounts are enough to cause trouble on the roadways. we will watch the thursday friday light snow event closely. small accumulation is possible and cold enough for snow but then look at what happens to the temperatures for the weekend. crashing again. temperatures in the upper teens at night. that is for the district. midteens for the suburbs. >> i think the wind will be back

everything now is to the south of us. i think that will be the trend this evening even though we have forecasted at least a chance of a spotty thunderstorm. it's moving northwest to southeast. fredericksburg, fairly heavy ra will be there probably within the next five to 15 minutes. high temperatures today, two records, dulles is 86 degrees. that's shattered the old record of 83. biewm biewm up to 84 -- bwi marshall up to 84. that's a record high too and reagan up to 83. the heat will stay with us. check the trend the next several days. 85 tomorrow. that is in the city. i think we'll easily have 90s. west and south of the city. same thing wednesday. temperature a little warmer for the city of 86 degrees. we cool off a little thursday except for a few clouds and maybe some showers with thunderstorms. as we get into friday notice the big change as cooler air settles in from the north. high on friday only 62. that cooling trend takes us through the weekend as well. back up a couple of degrees in the city to 80. quantico 77.
